Generous Giving to schools in Kenya
Supporting Tharua Special School with a new Boarding House and Toilet/Shower Block
Every child matters
Working on the ground within poor schools in Kenya, we come across many practical needs and opportunities to better the lives of young people, both in the big and small ways. Our 'Generous' projects enable partners to also join in this vision - to make a practical and visible difference in the lives of young people, which not only encourages, but also equips them for their future.
Our main project that we are working on is with Tharua Special School. We are building them a boarding house and also supporting more students to attend the special needs school. We would love to partner with you on this worth while project.
Generous.org.uk is currently in the process of becoming a registered UK charity. We currently have an application in the pipeline.
Generous has been launched to practically support students in the poor schools in Kenya.
Ways in which we are helping:
-
Supporting a special needs school in Laikipia both with new buildings and child sponsorship
-
Water and Food: Establishing feeding programmes in schools, so that no child has to learn on an empty stomach.
-
Sport: Providing footballs and other sports equipment to enhance exercise and boost concentration for learning.
-
Internet access for education: Facilitating internet connections so that teachers and pupils can enrich their subject learning.
-
Developing Infrastructure: Supporting a SEN special boarding school to establish better sanitation and sleeping arrangements for their highly vulnerable students.

Sport really makes a difference to the school day, but so often the students don’t have the resources to access this. Above, shows the joy that one simple ball can bring.
We work collaboratively with headmasters, teachers and parents to identify how best to support each school.
Giving that has a long-lasting impact
Because the young people of today will become the adults of tomorrow…
We want to invest in poor underprivileged students in Kenya so that they are better equipped to complete their education and to flourish.
With most schools being only a maximum 20 minute drive from our HQ, we are able to efficiently oversee and personally deliver on all our projects.
Timothy West the founder of Generous
” ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
