Buy An Ethical T-Shirt (Support Someone In A Developing Country)

One Generous member has set up an ethical t-shirt company ‘to bring ethical, affordable and wearable clothing to the UK.’

Generous Joe’s ethical organic t-shirts are a bargain at £8.00.

For more info about colours and how to order go here.

More info here.

After being inspired by the Generous launch at Greenbelt 2004, it’s taken over a year of hard work from the planning stage to the t-shirts now finally being available. Well done Joe.

er… there appears to be a slight problem with the online shop at the moment…

Also, just to say that all generousy types are invited to join our business (it is a co-operative so you too can own a piece of an ethical business)

    I’ve ordered two!

There weren’t any obvious problems, so I presume my order has gone through. Let me know if you haven’t had an order from me, Joe.

I have, thanks very much. We’ll send it out this afternoon.

The shop appears to be working again now, sorry for the gremlins.

    Doof.

Currently we do not have childrens’ sized T-shirts, however we do have some ‘S’ sized unisex. Also we have some spare material in the factory so I will take the suggestion to our next members’ meeting.

Well I’ve ordered 2 Tshirts – looking forward to seeing if they fit! (If not I’ll give them to someone who they do fit!) I buy ethical clothes as much as I can. A friend of mine runs a small business in the N of England, sourcing and selling ethical, fairtrade and sweat-shop free clothes – hope you don;t mind me mentioning it – www.arkadash.co.uk

I have been asked by the local Fair Trade Federation (of which I am a member) to pass on any ethical &/orFair trade providers names as we are hoping to run a fashion show later in the year. Will pass on your contact details

The Comic Relief T-Shirts are being made from fairly traded cotton. So well worth supporting.

I was in Marks and Sparks last week and I see that they’re selling both fair trade t-shirts and jeans. The jeans were a sensible price too.

The online shop seems not to be working.

I am keen to but fairtrade clothes but often fine that they cost far too much. I don’t mind paying a premium but can’t afford to pay 3 or 4 times the cost (eg t-shirts £25, Jeans £90)

Smiffy I’ll check out M&S. Anyone else know of affordable fairtrade clothes?

Howies (.co.uk) are a great place to find organic cotton – and have a very interesting, generous website. Their stuff is pricey though (shorts £55 I found out this morning) – but worth a look for those with the money to spend.

Have just bought one from the Autumn Traidcraft range, and have had several very good ones from People Tree this year – inclusing one with a nice embroidery design on one side. Also Greenfibres do nice ones in a range of colours – both long and short sleeved.
