Buy A Copy of Change the World for a Fiver

Buy a copy of Change The World for a Fiver – and give it to a friend.

This brilliant new book offers a list of friendly, accessible ways in which all of us, everyday, can begin to change our world for good. (They were thinking the same thoughts as us and we never knew it. In religious language, this is a ‘sign’. For the rest of us, this is very cool!). Anyway, we think their cracking little book deserves a wide audience, so we recommend that we all buy one or some and then give/sell them to our friends. Let us know how many you distribute!

See their website for more on their deal and to buy the book.

I bought a few copies of this for Christmas presents and also gave one to the church for the foyer, and one to the staff room. It proved to be a source of merriment both with my mum and at housegroup.

Did this when the year first started. Don’t seem to have got round to reading it though….

Bought a few copies of this book when i saw it mentioned on this site. Gave out a few last xmas. Was looking in local charity shop recently, in ‘books for 10p’ section (!)... and there was a copy of this book!

i rather suspect it was put there by someone we’d given it to at xmas… still, on the plus side the seeds were missing, so perhaps the culprit has planted them, which is something!

i bought it back (obviously!) and will give it away sometime… hopefully not to whomever it was i gave it to before who gave it to charity shop!

i guess it could be that whomever i gave it to read it thru and put it in charity shop so others could read it too, but i think that’s just wishful thinking!

was good to hear the ‘we are what we do’ lady speaking at greenbelt… what energy she had!

Was this a woman associated with the “We are what we do” book?

What did she have to say?

While I think that the book is great and I’d agree that faith (and ideals and principles etc) that don’t result in any action at all are pretty worthless in many respects, yet even those are part of who we are, and in God’s eyes we are far more than what we do.

I think it is a danger of the age we live in that we end up believing that we (and other people) are worth no more than what we/they do and the wealth we/they create, so hope she didn’t over-emphasise this point.

This book is great. Has lots of resources in the back. Gave me a bit of a kick start. The dust cover doubles as a poster so you can stick it up to remind the whole family. A great way to encourage conversations on the subject of living generously, too. Have bought 3 copies already!!

Great book + great cover – my eldest boy (16) has put the cover poster on his wall. Must be cool!!

Also, GREAT book is Michael Norton’s 365 Ways to Change the World!! (www.365act.com)

They’ve just brought out a new book, “Change the World 9 to 5”, with 50 more ideas for things to do at work.

Definitely worth reading for a laugh, and some of the ideas are really good (like handing out stickers to people at work who deserve gold stars!).

Bought this one Christmas for my friend (but cheekily read it first). Have just got their new book about changing the world between 9 to 5.
